A German family insurance broking firm has a loyal portfolio of clients, a number of which are involved in exporting products throughout the EU. Many local insurers are reluctant to cover the risks of exporters and to deal with claims outside Germany, so the firm turned to London and the Lloyd's market to find the expertise and innovative approach it needed.
At EBA, we have a broad knowledge of different EU jurisdictions and are able to provide a niche intermediary service. Keen to talk to firms with new ideas, we liked the sound of the firm's business concept and appreciated the relevance of launching it in one of Europe’s most dynamic industrial centres. We created a bespoke product to suit our partner's clients and have found a suitable insurer for the product. The policy is now delivered in real time, in major European languages, at the press of a button using the EBA extranet.
